Completeing Route 66

Travelling on Route 66: Part Two

We loved hearing from our clients Sheryl and Gary so much that we have to share the second half of their trip!

“Our trip along Route 66 wasn’t complete without visiting Memphis Tennessee. We stopped past Sun Studio where Elvis recorded his first hit record.

For us Graceland was a major highlight with so many memories of our idol Elvis. The family home, his pool, the family grave yard, his horses, his airplanes he traveled in, all his cars, his memorabilia hall and of course the tourist shops. It all made for a very enjoyable day.

The famous Beale St at night was alive with people enjoying the music, the clubs and dinning out.

We the travelled near Jackson to see the Vicksburg National Military Park where battle was a critical turning point in the civil war in 1863.

The Houma’s House in Baton Rouge, Louisiana was a beautiful old house that’s meant to be haunted. The gardens surrounding this house were spectacular.

Bourbon Street in New Orleans, Louisiana at night was a buzz with people enjoying the jazz clubs and listening to the soulful music.

We encourage people to do a night cruise up the river on the Natchez if they get the opportunity. It was a wonderful trip listening to Dixieland Jazz music the whole way.

The trip up the Cajun Bayou was fantastic another highlight. The scenery was spectacular going up the bayou. We saw a lot of alligators that were hand fed, but the wild pigs wouldn’t come when called!

Finally we finished our tour in Los Angeles, California at the Santa Monica Beach. We were so grateful to have such an amazing tour and would do it again in a heartbeat.”
